Carol spoke on her experiences helping others heal and her own self-healing holistic experiences.

Presby’s Inspired Life on Thursday held its latest Clergy Circle event, this one at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church in the Philadelphia suburb of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

The featured speaker at this edition of the Clergy Circle was Bryn Mawr Presbyterian parish nurse Carol Cherry, MSN, RN who presented on Health and Faith: Practice and Presence.

Carol cares for others for a living, but she crafted this faith-based approach to internal healing as she battled through her own health scares.

“Everyone was taking care of me – my family, my doctors, my church,” Carol said. “But through that, I had this ‘aha’ moment and I realized I needed to take care of myself through my faith.

“We are a caring ministry. We have front-row seats to the portals that bring us into God’s presence and closer to the Holy Grail.

“You do sacred work. Take care of yourself.”

The Clergy Circle is a distinct outreach initiative designed to provide enhanced opportunities for fellowship and collaboration between faith leaders across greater Philadelphia and the ministry of Presby’s Inspired Life. This program allows for area clergy to gather for prayer and be enriched by pertinent presentations that highlight the rich spiritual, cultural and social gifts made possible by older adults. In the process, relationships are strengthened and mutual understanding is fostered ultimately for the betterment of neighborhoods and faith communities.

Presby’s Inspired Life would like to thank Carol for speaking to our audience and we would like to thank our friends at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Chruch for being such gracious, supportive hosts!
