PRESBY TO HONOR PRESIDENT & CEO JUDEE M. BAVARIA AT THIS YEAR’S INSPIRED SERVICE RECOGNITION DINNER

Presby will pay tribute to Judee M. Bavaria for two decades of compassionate service and leadership on Oct. 24 during the annual Inspired Service Recognition Dinner.
Presby’s Inspired Life is pleased to announce that after 20 years of service to Presby’s Inspired Life and a total of 30 years of service in the field of aging services, Judee M. Bavaria will be presented with this year’s Inspired Service Award. She will be honored for her two decades of service at the organization’s annual event, the Inspired Service Recognition Dinner, to be held on October 24, 2019.

This distinguished award is annually presented to those who exceptionally serve people aged 62 and better across the Philadelphia region.
This year’s Inspired Service Recognition Dinner will be held on Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Hilton City Avenue in Philadelphia. The evening begins with a cocktail reception at 5 p.m. followed by dinner and the night’s presentations. Proceeds from the Inspired Service Recognition Dinner will support resident financial assistance and quality of life programming throughout Presby’s Life Plan and Affordable Housing communities.
About Judee M. Bavaria:
Judee M. Bavaria joined Presby’s Inspired Life as Chief Operating Officer in 1999, and in 2005, became President and CEO. Previously, she was Corporate Compliance Officer and Vice President of Operations for Lutheran Services Northeast. She also served in a variety of leadership capacities for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Public Welfare. Judee’s leadership at Presby is marked by significant strides in meeting the critical need for Affordable Housing for economically disadvantaged seniors.
During her tenure, the Affordable Housing Ministry has grown from 12 communities in 1999 to more than 30 today. Her achievements also include the execution of several strategic plans to expand and improve Presby’s Life Plan Communities to better meet residents’ evolving needs.
Her progressive oversight of capital improvement initiatives for existing communities and the development of new sites set the stage for continued growth and has secured Presby’s place in the active senior living market. During her exciting tenure, Judee’s reputation as an accomplished leader has led other senior organizations to seek her expertise. She currently serves on the board of the University of Scranton and the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging. She served as Chair of Catholic Senior Housing and Health Care Services, as Co-chair of the LeadingAge Leadership Circle and member of the LeadingAge PA Board of Directors. Additionally, she holds the honor of being selected as the 2007 PANPHA Leader of the Year.
A registered nurse and licensed nursing home administrator, Judee also holds a B.S. in secondary education from East Stroudsburg University and an M.S. in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Scranton.
